    Preventive Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

    FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
    EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
    SCHEDULE: Monday – Thursday, 1pm - 10pm (9 hour shifts) Fridays only, 1pm - 5pm (4 hour shift)
    SHIFT: 2nd
    COMPENSATION: $19.80 - $23.50 + 5% shift premium

    Job Overview:

    The Preventive Maintenance Technician (PM Tech) is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on all key equipment and assisting with machine repairs on manual machinery. This position operates in a manufacturing work environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment based on PM schedule.
    • Clean cold heading machine pits and chutes.
    • Perform oil changes on required equipment.
    • Identify positional hazards on key equipment by performing machine inspections.
    • Perform minor machine repairs independently, assist maintenance team with larger/complex repairs.
    • Complete welding projects as directed.
    • Generate and close PM orders in the ERP system PLEX.
    • Operate Hilo to move product to required machines/areas as needed.
    • Perform other duties/work on special projects as assigned.
    • Participate in all 5S initiatives and daily duties within the department.

    Requirements for Education, Experience, and Skills:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Basic data entry skills and math skills.
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints.
    • Experience in fabrication (i.e. welding).
    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. and occasionally required to lift and/or move between 50 lbs. – 75 lbs.
    • Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time while using tools and perform repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
    • Previous work experience in an industrial maintenance position, preferred.

    Compensation Package:

    • Stable and consistent work (40 or more hours a week)
