    Logistics Supervisor

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt

    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (6AM - 2PM) Onsite
    SHIFT:
    COMPENSATION: $66,100 - $85,400

    Job Overview:

    The Logistics Supervisor oversees the movement of materials and finished goods throughout the organization, ensuring efficient shipping, distribution, and material handling operations.
    This role leads logistics personnel, coordinates with production and customer service teams, and drives continuous improvement in material flow, inventory management, and transportation processes to support company and customer requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate, uphold, and models Fastco’s core values, purpose, and shared vision.
    • Assist in the interviewing and on-boarding process for new team members in the department.
    • Provide leadership, support, and supervision to the department.
    • Uphold standards of conduct and performance.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain the training program within the department.
    • Meet standards for performance reviews, training, document review, safety initiatives, and 5S audits.
    • Responsible for optimizing the company logistics plan, streamlining the flow of product throughout the company, increasing efficiencies, and reducing costs.
    • Oversee all shipping processes, including tracking shipments, negotiating with carriers, and monitoring performance.
    • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the loading and routing of material and supplies both in and out of the facilities.
    • Proactively address delivery challenges and customer service issues with process improvements.
    • Oversee scrap management processes, including proper disposition, vendor coordination, and recovery of scrap value.
    • Monitor and manage inventory via PLEX.
    • Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
    • Monitor and assist with all quality related issues within departments, to include timely and effective corrective actions.
    • Develop and maintain job instructions/standards for production control, outside processing, material handling, and distribution operations.
    • Develop and maintain performance indicators (metrics, KPI’s) for the department.
    • Provide technical and administrative support and guidance to direct reports.
    • Complete other assignments as directed by the Director of Operations.

    Requirements for Education, Experience, and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing operations, materials management, or a related field.
    • Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Extensive knowledge of material flow, shipping operations, supplier coordination, and inventory movement within a manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience applying Lean or continuous improvement concepts to improve material flow, reduce waste, and strengthen operational processes preferred.
    • Experience using ERP or materials management systems (PLEX experience preferred).
    • Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. frequently.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Frequently required to work on feet on the manufacturing floor while using hand tools and may require bending and stooping.
    • Must abide by the Fastco safety procedures due to the hazards in the manufacturing work environment, including hearing protection, eye protection, and proper footwear and clothing.
