Fastco Industries produces a wide variety of fasteners using the cold heading process as the basic forming method. Cold headed studs, rivets, pins, bolts, SEMS washers, MAThread/MATpoint, and specials, in production quantities, have been our strength since our inception in 1970. A trusted proven supplier focused on superior quality, striving for zero defects with 100% on-time-delivery.
All Fastco cold headed fasteners are proudly “Made in the USA” in our manufacturing facilities.
We supply fasteners to companies throughout the Southeastern United States, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The cold heading process involves forming a base part by redistributing steel, supplied to us in coiled wire. The steel is formed through a series of dies and punches. Multiple station machinery make it possible to move the blank through a progression of dies, to form the desired final shape. The result is the production of complex components at relative high speeds and with very good accuracy and consistency.
A bulk manufacturing process, cold heading requires a steep initial investment in tooling and development. The higher the volume produced, the more cost-effective the production. Cold heading also works well with difficult materials such as stainless steel. When the design of the part falls within our parameters, cost savings can be over 40% as compared to screw machining. The parts are typically stronger, hold better tolerances and have a consistently higher quality level indicative of a less complicated process.
Fastco is also IATF 16949:2016 certified. IATF 16949:2016 replaces and supersedes the current ISO/TS 16949, defining the requirements of a quality management system for organizations in the automotive industry. Always the highest quality cold headed bolts produced, on-time, with just-in-time delivery to your facilities around the world.
Its Large Investments in the Company Have Continually Improved Its Processes.
