    Visual Sorter – 1st Shift

    FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 5am - 1pm
    SHIFT: 1st
    COMPENSATION: $16 - $17 per hour

    Job Overview:

    The Visual Sort position is responsible for visually inspecting Fastco products by hand to ensure that all parts are free from defects before they are sent to customers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform visual quality inspections of products following the established process flow.
    • Operate electronic inspection machines as needed.
    • Build and organize support supplies for the department.
    • Make accurate and complete data entries into the ERP system, PLEX.
    • Participate in all continuous improvement initiatives and duties within the department.
    • Cross-train in other positions and perform additional tasks as required.

    Requirements for Education, Experience, and Skills:

    • Basic data entry and math skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move between 50 lbs. and 75 lbs.
    • Capable of performing repetitive actions with hands for inspecting parts, as well as occasional bending and stooping.
    • Comfortable with frequent, prolonged periods of sitting.
    • Must abide by the Fastco safety procedures due to the hazards in the manufacturing work environment, including hearing protection, eye protection, and proper footwear and clothing.

    Compensation Package:

    • $16 – $17 starting hourly rate  (contingent on experience level with room for advancement)
